Xia Jing Shan, a famous contemporary Buddhist artist, is also known by his courtesy name Guanghua or Nanzhu and nicknamed "Lissome". The Lissome Art & Culture Co., Ltd. has been recently established and thus held an opening ceremony. Under the leadership of Chairman Charles Wei, Executive General Counsel Dr. Chao Chung-Chieh, Chang Shuo-Hsueh, Chen Ting-Chieh, Wu Shi-Chang and other company executives, the Lissome Art & Culture Co., Ltd. is expected to move toward the next milestone.

Xia Jing Shan was greatly influenced by traditional oriental calligraphy and painting since childhood. He studied Buddhism under Master Nanting and master Sinologist Nan Huai Chin. The name of Lissome Art & Culture Co., Ltd. is named "Lissome", and it takes the bull's head and the eight auspiciousness in the Buddhist paintings drawn by Xia Jing Shan as design elements to create the visual image and core idea of its corporate brand, symbolizing the power of Buddhism, with the meaning of auspiciousness, perfection and happiness.

Lissome Arts and Culture Co., Ltd. takes the collection of many museum-level paintings of Xia Jing Shan as its foothold. In addition to regular exhibitions, auctions, cultural and creative product development and sales, it has established a high-end art physical and virtual appreciation platform. Also, through IP authorization and cross-border marketing cooperation, the Lissome Arts and Culture Co., Ltd. hopes to link the development trend of contemporary art and devote to the promotion and development of Buddhist culture and calligraphy and painting art.

Wei Hsiao-Chin, president of Lissome Art & Culture Co., Ltd., pointed out: "Xia Jing Shan's paintings reveal warmth, splendor, and approachability. He is a ‘sacred and universal’ master of Buddhist painting. After he died, the Lissome Art & Culture Co., Ltd. is set up in the hope to spread Master Xia's profound Buddhist practice and aspirations to the public. The company's future vision in the promotion of arts and culture will be carried out through the use of the latest contemporary technologies such as AR, VR, NFT and Blockchain to combine Xia Jing Shan’s Buddhist painting and calligraphy art so as to spread his influence all over the world.” Dr. Chao Chung-Chieh, Executive General Counsel to Lissome Art & Culture Co., Ltd. and CEO of Xia Jing Shan Arts and Culture Foundation expressed the hope that the Foundation founded by Xia Jing Shan will transmit Buddhist culture through a new business operation model, so as to stabilize the society and pass on Xia Jing Shan's concern and mission for life, Chinese culture, and the world.

Legislator Cheng Cheng-Chien pointed out that this year the Education Committee passed the amendment of "Culture and the Arts Reward and Promotion Act", hoping to help Taiwan return to the booming auction and arts education environment 20 years ago so as to occupy a more important position in Asia. He hoped that the Lissome Arts and Culture Co., Ltd. will bring more stimulation and changes to Taiwan's auction market and cultural and creative market and make contribution to the future market economy and cultural education.

At the opening ceremony, the Lissome Arts and Culture Co., Ltd. exhibited two giant masterpieces by Xia Jing Shan, namely the 9-meter-long "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva with Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes" and "Guan Gong (Jia Lan Bodhisattva)", both of which mean blessing. As this year is the Year of the Tiger and Xia Jing Shan has a lot of tiger-themed creations that symbolize happiness, the Lissome Arts and Culture Co., Ltd. will present to the world these artworks one by one through different business models.
